gifts from ansel adams
Happy Birthday to Ansel Adams, one of my favorite photographers! He left us many gifts to last well past his lifetime. This is Jeffrey Pine, 1940, found at The Online Photographer. Adams was born in San Francisco in 1902, and he died in 1984.

Loved the blurb on writer's almanac today about him!
My husband is a big Ansel Adams fan. I had no idea yesterday was his birthday. A few years ago we saw an exhibit of his work at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. It was wonderful. And we have a lovely coffee table book of his work in our living room, which we look through frequently.
