another artist leaves

This seems to be quite a year for famous person deaths. Hearing the news about Prince dead at 57 yesterday was pretty shocking. His music was a backdrop of the 80s and 90s for me, and one thing I felt I had in common with him - this unusual artist - was his love of Joni Mitchell. He "got" her. She knew it too. It isn't his usual fare, but he played on a Joni tribute album a few years ago, and he did a really neat job on A Case of You. It is not at all like the original and it is also simultaneously very much in tune with the feeling of the original. He apparently also recorded this on one of his albums in the last decade or so.
